Description

ReadyforHighSchool is an engaging website for grade 6 and secondary 1 students and their parents that lets them explore the new realities of being a high school student through games and advice. For example:

  • Learn how to manage your agenda and schedule.
  • Learn about the resource personnel in high school.
  • Learn how to keep your locker organized.
  • Learn how to open your combination lock.
  • Find out about the extracurricular activities that might be offered at your new school.

There’s a lot of other content too, such as how students can manage their stress, tips on getting to and navigating around their new school, and information for parents.

*The Table 5-12 ans de Rosemont initially designed the readyforhighschool.ca interactive website on the transition to high school. Adapting it for all of Montréal, and creating the English-language version, were coordinated by Réseau réussite Montréal as part of its school transition focus area, in collaboration with the English Montreal (EMSB) and Lester B. Pearson (LBPSB) school boards, as well as with the Montréal (CSSDM), Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) and Pointe-de-l’Île (CSSPI) school service centres.
